Anyone got any recommendations of Nissan service folks, or qualified independents, who really know their stuff when it comes to high voltage system diagnosis and repair on a 2016 Leaf? Preferably in the Midlands, but will travel for a really good 'un..

Electric autos in naas used to try fix common leaf issues and use independent garages sometimes for cheaper fixes. They no longer offer that service and tend to go to Nissan main dealer for specific issues. They might be worth a phone call and they might refer you on.

I don't know of any Nissan Leaf specialist garages, there are some garages that claim to be hybrid or EV specialists, but I have never heard of specific leaf good feedback.

There is an Irish group replacing leaf batteries, but they don't repair them, instead swapping out whole battery for newer better one. They will not fix your car.

If you can provide more information on the issue, ideally error codes pulled from leafy spy app or via an odb dongle, I might be able to guide you better. Some Irish people have fixed leafs, even replacing complicated parts in house.

There is an Irish Nissan leaf Facebook group, and they might have come across similar issue and know a garage that has performed the operation. There is also some scrap yards with leaf spares, so it might be possible to get parts cheap.

Most problems have happened to others, and there should be someone who knows the fix.
