Octane boosters

I currently drive a diesel, but looking at changing to a Volvo v60 polestar.

It recommends 98ron for better performance/ mpg., But will run on 95 e10

I know that all Petrol fuel in Ireland is a min of 95ron , so my question is .

What octane booster actually works/ is the best value.

I am aware that in Ireland, E5 is actually E3, and diesel B7 is B4, as per the EU fuel monitoring reports.

The reason I ask is because it is suggested that running 95 instead of 98 will result in a loss of 40bhp.

Just a query on this, obviously these are a dull bottle for 60 litres. Could you actually just get 3 tanks out of it by using 1/3 at a time and still get "some" benefit?

From looking at the label, it's a 300ml bottle, and treats up to 6 tanks (presuming a 50L tank)

So if it's €20 a bottle, that bottle will treat 300L , so about 6c/l.
