Samsung Unlock Code Input Query

    Hi guys.

I'm trading in my S10 with Samsung and they need it unlocked.

I got on to eir to get my unlock code and they said it was 00000000 (eight zeros)

I've input this but phone says unlock unsuccessful.

Any advices? I'm thinking my phone may not actually be locked to eir's network but is actually already unlocked?

    Thanks.

Try these codes in the dialer to see if you can get extra info. But the best way would be to try another sim card obviously. There's a good chance it's not locked, most phones I've bought outright with PAYG 'plans' were never locked and I've just been able to keep my original sim/network.

    #7465625*638*# Check Network lock keycode

Not 100% sure what exact info that shows but sounds promising.

*#272*IMEI# Check buyer code, CSC (Country/Carrier Specific Product) Code

Think you need to paste in your actual IMEI as part of that one.

You can Google your CSC result to see what version you have, if it mentions eir them chances are it's on their firmware and has more chance of being locked. If it's just an EU/UK generic non operator version then they likely haven't locked it, no guarantee though.
