Budget CX/Gravel Wheelset

Hi all,

I have a set of MAvic rims on Shimano generic hubs.

the set weigh well over 3kg with tyres tubes and cassette.

budget 250€

DT Swiss G1800 tubeless can be had for under 300 if you shop around & I'm quite happy with them.

Not sure if your 3kg is such a problem though. I have the DT Swiss (1850g), Hutchinson Touareg 700-40 (900g) and 105 cassette (about 360g). Sealant and tubeless valves probably adds another 200g. I could save 3-400g by going for a much more expensive wheelset but not much scope for saving on gravel tires or the cassette. I don't see a way of getting a lower weight set up for a budget of 250 EUR

I'm ordering a Giant revolt at the moment. I've heard the sx2 wheelset might be the weak point in the bike.

Would these be much of an upgrade?

I'm not too sure about these wheels to be honest! But i'd imagine they are better, always handy to have a spare set of wheel!! :)
