Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

    Hi all,

I'm new to the housing market and when I do buy I want to optimise my home to be the most efficient and cheapest possible in the long run.

What is the consensus approach? Are solar panels more efficient in the long run - ie saving money? Are they primarily used to heat water?

How much agency do home owners have for putting solar panels on their roofs? I presume it wouldn't be allowed in apartment blocks. What about in terraced gated communities with management fees.

Sorry for the newbie Qs. Happy for further reading if anyone has good links
