I have had a health issue involving a hot tight ball feeling in my stomach area (but maybe outside stomach) for months and i believe The reason may be a mold in my bathroom caused by lack of ventilation. Ive treated The mold but maybe with something that only conceals it rather than eliminates it. Anyone got a recommendation for a mold kit that will test The mold or The air quality in The bathroom and give me detail about The mold that will allow me to check If it is a mold type that harms health?

Unlikely that mould in the bathroom is the cause. Have you seen your GP about the issue?

Yes, i dont live in an english speaking country so they dont really get it. They just think its gastroenteritis. It isnt.

you say unlikely The bathroom mould is The cause? Why so? Others think it is The likely cause and when i return to Ireland The sympthoms alliviate. Even though my diet and drinking in Ireland will go up. Im in good shape and never in my life have had health issues till now.

Firstly, IANAD.

So, you were diagnosed with severe gastritis caused by H. Pylori bacterium, for which the standard treatment is two weeks on two separate antibiotics plus a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI).

Yet you seem to have used a PPI (emanera) alone. This would only relieve your symptoms, not cure the condition.

Did you go against medical advice by not taking the antibiotics? If so, why?

Edit 2: Did the gastroscopy show any ulcers?

No I took everything I was proscribed, I took something with emanera, I just forget it’s name. I done checks after, I was given the all clear.

what I have now is different. As you hopefully seen in the Reddit thread, I am in Poland I have a small tight ball in my stomach. I go on holidays or return to Ireland and it’s gone, completely gone. That is not what should happen with a gastroenterology disease.

i don’t really have a sample since I treated it with a product called Savo. This either conceals it or attacks it. I’m not sure. Well it defo conceals it. What it does beyond that I’m not sure.

Thanks, moving out of my apartment is the plan. It may not be mold but I think it is something in my apartment. I plan to work from my office next week to get out of my house as much as possible and see what affect that has.

If it’s occurring in one country and not the other and it’s gastrointestinal, maybe look at what foods you’re eating in Poland that you don’t in Ireland.

However, there’s usually a ban on medical advice on boards and you would be strongly advised to visit a doctor.

Frankly, the symptoms you’re describing could be anything from mundane to serious. You’d need a proper diagnosis - from a doctor.

Is there any chance it could be due to stress? Might explain why it worse at home and better when you are on a holiday.

Hydrometers and dehumidifiers are cheap. If you have a problem with mold you have a problem with damp and that should be addressed either way.

I bought a mini dehumidifier for €20 on a small adverts website and I just move it around where and when I see the need.

Ok, it’s a rented flat and I’ll be moving on. My main interest now is finding out the air quality or mold type in my apartment for the past couple of months to eliminate it as a cause of my hot little ball issue.
