Question on tax after returning to work in Ireland (from US) in July 2021 after 7 years away

I'm Irish and have been living in the US from September 2014 to July 2021, and paid taxes in the US as a resident alien.

I started a new job (based in Dublin) in August 2021 and paid Irish taxes seemingly as normal. Could I be owed tax back due to not being in the country for over 6 months in 2021? Or worse, could I owe more?

Has anyone been in this situation before? I am planning on talking to an accountant with international experience, but wanted to see if anyone had any initial advice/experience here.
