Citation manager for Google docs using a Chromebook

I am just wondering, what would be a good way of doing citations using a Chromebook?

Zotero is probably your best bet if you can run linux apps on your chromebook.
Two college students here using it on Chromebook.
The Zotero plugin is available for Chrome, but to get the most out of it you need the application running in the background:
