Mortgage Saver Application - Branch sleeping on it since 30th Dec

Applied for a mortgage saver account online on 30th Dec. Processing time is 2-3 days.

CA was opened in 2 days. Not a single response from Branch. I had escalated to PSA and no one provided an escalation email address.

I'll write to Banking Ombudsperson for mis-selling - Web site clearly says 2-3 days WD to open the account and for PSA not sharing escalation email address.

Generally correspondence should be sent by email and so I would recommend checking the inbox for the email address provided on the application, as well as the junk/spam folder as sometimes these emails can be found there.

Alternatively you can contact our Accounts Opening Team at pca@boi.com and one of my colleagues should certainly be able to look into this for you and offer further guidance.

I had checked my mailbox. Best response from POA was 2 weeks ago that some one from Branch will contact.

As you and PSA team have selectively ignored my request to share an escalation point - Are you suggesting there is no escalation point beyond PSA, I'll be proceeding with a complaint with Ombudsperson.

Also, taking legal advice on mis selling where by Bank promised an account in 3 WD and now not providing an update at all.

I'm sure no Irish Citizen will wait for 4 weeks for an account opening. Why in my case? More than what meets the eye? Perhaps data will be key here once a complaint is raised with ombudsperson.

Last response was that brach will contact. Been one month. Please say 3-4 days applies only for CITIZENS. Rest at your mercy.

It is still pending. Branch called 4 days ago with a promises to call back by End of day.

Are they checking with FBI, Interpol or seeking approval from World Bank?

Sure. Why not. Branch official called on 4th Feb saying she will call by COB. Never happened. Over 2 months of misrepresentation or lies , if I may use the word by the branch folks. Why lie, it is a simple account opening.
