Bathroom Sink Blocked

    Hi,

The sink in my bathroom is blocked. I bought a basic unblocker in supermarket but did't work, then something in Woodies which didn't work.

As it is a bathroom sink it's not like a lot of oil, grease hair etc. could have gone down it.

Can anyone recommend a proper unblocker liquid or do I need a plumber to have a look?

    Thank you

A good seeing to with a plunger usually does the trick.

Block the overflow and stick the plug in the bath to get maximum force.

Failing that, you could undo the U-bend underneath and see if you can locate the blockage. You should be able to remove it by hand.

Don't go at the u-bend if there could be left-over drain-flush acid remaining within; flush it out first, somehow.

A deep plunger is best. I found this great for the shower and sink: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B06XKK5RDW/
