How's it going? Can anyone recommend a good physical therapist or anyone along those lines who can help me? I'm currently suffering from really bad tennis and golfer's elbow in both arms. The pain has also gone into my hands. I've been with a physio for about a year now. And it doesn't seem to be helping. I have tried pearse physio( which seems to be recommended alot on here what he wasn't much help at the time has anyone got any suggestions at all That could possibly help me? I'm also suffering from really bad plantar fasciitis which I believe is really messing up my body and causing me a lot of pain if anyone has any good recommendations, please let me kno, constant chronic pain everyday.

ps: apologies if this is not the place to post this, feel free to move this if necessary, this just seems to be the most active sub forum

Keep away from chiropractors , I live with chronic pain myself

    It's a terrible thing

Second on the chiropractors  - complete BS artists in my opinion. Tried two a few years back and both gave me the same experience as you'd get from a secondhand car salesman flogging "sold as seen" bangers with no warranty.

I've been dealing with chronic back/hip pain for 4 years and no amount of massages or basic physio was doing anything beyond temporary relief. Am half way through a 4 month online physio course now and it's working wonders. 6 days a week, 1 hour per day. Very slow and steady but the difference is very noticeable. Not sure if something similar might be applicable to you. I think in the case of many injuries which came on over years, there's no quick fix. It can take months and months of daily work to reset the body.

I suffer from chronic pain for years. Best treatment I have got is from osteopaths, they are usually more expensive but treat the body as a whole. Don't expect it to be fixed after one session, these things take time and also finding the right person to treat you.

For plantar fascitis, go to a podiatrist. They specialise in feet.

Some things just need to be treated separately and I understand they can have an impact on each other.

It's tough going mentally, physically and financially. Wishing you all the best.

I don’t suffer from pain but for another condition I’ve had treatments by Lisa Coffey, Glasnevin Physical Therapy…

she was recommended by a friend of a friend who has very bad and painful arthritis and swears by her as would i now..

been treating the All Blacks rugby team when they tour here as well as Bohemians footballers.

nice person to chat to and easygoing… the whole experience is great. She lists treating chronic pain as a specialty…

Had tennis elbow myself and tried this it took a few days but it gave me great relief.

I used a foam swimming pool noodle thing cut to size rather than the rubber exercise bar they use.

    Hope it helps.

Have you tried the Realta Clinic in Carlow?

Many of the USA and Jamaican olympic sprinters fly over just to go there, I think that would tell you enough about how highly rated he is. Might be hard to get an appointment though Im not sure.

Sorry about that, here is the exercise It worked for me when I had a bad dose of tennis elbow a few years ago.

Sets of 10 for each arm alternating. 2 times a day. I did it for 2 weeks and had success.

I had access through work didn't even think of the paywall.

Eileen Murphy, Dublin Spine & Sports Physiotherapy.

Eileen helped to put me back together after a nice little rear ending from a fella in a transit on the phone not understanding a red light. This was several years ago.

Have to recommend Leon at the Physio rooms in Castleknock. Never met someone so dedicated, competent and thorough at diagnosing then guiding and supporting through to full recovery.
