Glowworm Micron 50ff not working

I've a glowworm micron 50ff which is not working but also not showing any obvious reasons why. It's been regularly serviced (last time was 2 months ago) by Bord Gais and the technician's comments about the boiler's condition was that it's in great nick and nothing obviously needed repair or was approaching end of life. This is despite it being 16 years old.

A couple of weeks after the last service it stopped working which turned out to be the fan, Bord Gais came back and added some lubricant which solved the issue. A couple of days ago we noticed that it took about 30 mins after triggering the heating for it to start actually warming the rads, but it did eventually work. Then yesterday it appeared to pack it in entirely. There are no error lights and resetting it triggers an initial burst of activity for about 15 seconds then it stops. From opening the cover and lubricating the fan I can see that it's spinning freely and not jamming.

I read online it might be the pump, it's a flowson 25-6-130 and when I check to see if it's working (by holding it to see if there are any vibrations or indications of it working) it doesn't appear to be, this is the pump in question below. I'm not sure if the 15 seconds the boiler works initially is enough to diagnose a faulty pump though, perhaps it shouldn't kick in at that stage? The pump is currently set to max but changing that setting makes no difference.

On repeated attempts to restart the boiler on one or two occasions it actually fired up and appeared to be working but after about 5 mins it stopped. I know the boiler is old but it has been recently serviced and nothing appeared amiss.

Can anyone suggest anything I can try before I call in the professionals? Thanks.
