What Happened to Derek Jones from Dublin Pirates Q102 and Energy103?

Firstly, let me make it clear that this is a different Derek Jones from the one that has been involved with Radio Valleri, various north Dublin pirates, Premier FM, Christmas FM and Retro FM - "oldies" Derek! And, yes, I heard some archive recordings and they are definitely two different presenters! Since Premier, I became very familiar with the voice of "oldies" Derek. Let's call our hero here "superpirate" Derek, and he had that kind of broadcasting voice!
There was a Derek Jones involved with pirate ARD previously, who I understand was not "oldies" Derek, and I suspect was indeed "superpirate" Derek. Incidentally, a Derek Jones was also a presenter on KELO in the early '80s, which could be either as it was a north Dublin station with ARD connections! It would be great to get that sorted too.
Anyway, I digress!
Whatever happened to "superpirate" Derek?
