Really enjoying this and learning more about the events of a hundred years ago done in a way as if it’s happening now!

It's not bad. But it's strange to have a political programme on RTE without the mandatory Brid Smith or Paul Murphy or some other socialist whining. I'm waiting for some angry lad from the Limerick Soviet to come on and promise to make those new high tech telegraph companies pay for a free house for everyone.

I'm watching bits here and there.

It's what RTE did in 1966 with the Easter Rising, and I know because I was a teenager at the time.

It's the 'Idiot's Guide to the Treaty'.

All this 'now we go over live to our reporter who is speaking to James Craig', and 'interviews' with English caricatures on their views. It's cringe making.

They should have commissioned a proper history documentary or series instead of this cheap farce.

I can’t comment on whether Treaty Live was bad but I 100% agree that a proper documentary series should have been down. In fact there could have multiple documentaries on all the people involved.

Did RTÉ even dust off that Brendan Gleason/Ian Bannon film?
