transfering apple id from broken phone to new phone - verification code can't be accessed

    my sons phone is broken. on the new phone, when he enters his apple id, it says a verification code has been sent to his devices - presumably the old phone, which we can't access.

    so how can we set up his phone with existing apple id?

    nevermind, was able to get verification code via text message on the new phone....
