Was a proud Leitrim man this evening watching our lads playing Sligo in 'the Dome'.Fantastic venue for football and had the game being played outdoors this evening in the same venue on one of the outdoor pitches there the players would have been drenched and frozen and the wind would have affected the quality of the fare on show.

Game wise Leitrim had problems containing Niall Murphy and Pat Hughes who kind of played as a 2 man FF line at times but on their day those two lads would get on a lot of strong county teams. We were also off the pace compared to Sligo from a fitness perspective but there were some positives on show for new manager Andy Moran.

Ryan O' Rourke made a much anticipated return from serious injury and showed that he is one of the best young forwards in the country with some great contributions. Our midfield battled well also.Emlyn Mulligan also showed that he has still got something to offer in the forward line as a wise old head.

Sligo go forward to play Roscommon in FBD semi next weekend and will need to play better to trouble the Rossies.
