    Some guidance sought please?

Radiator in kitchen no heating but all the rest in the house ok. I thought it might be trapped air. No hissing then I opened the value. Allowed some water not much out and closed it back up.

Opened the inlet valve fully and turned the heat back on but nothing doing (no heat in the inlet pipe)

    Logic SE18IE boiler

    Any help appreciated here

    Happy New Year

Try opening the outlet valve fully as well, taking the knob off the inlet valve and using it on the outlet valve, first checking on how much open it was by noting what it takes to fully close it first.

Try turning off some nearby radiators to see if that heats then.

Closing off all other rads should allow full pump pressure on that rad and circuit, which might clear a blockage, which seems like a possible cause.

Thanks will give that a go and see how it gets on

Right turned off the downstairs Rads (X 3) and there was some heat in the previously cold rad . Lukewarm no more

Should I turn off the upstairs rads to and see if that gets it going?

Yes. If it heats up properly then, you'll need to balance the system. Start by turning off the otheres one at a time. When it heats up, you might have found the greedy radiator, which will shorten the time spent balancing.

Thanks, I balanced them years back so no harm going again. Appreciate your reply here

what is involved in balancing or what does it mean?

    Is it important to do?

Only really needed if having trouble with rads. Lots of YouTube videos on it.
