Freeview channels on astra 28.2 due to bilsdale mast fire

Hi I read here in the past about the channels carried on 11306 hor which may be used as infill channels for a tv transmitter mast that caught fire in Bilsdale uk, does anyone know how long these channels may be active on this transponder, i read that bad weather had delayed the work on the new replacement mast, this transponder is listed as freeview rather than freesat on lyngsat, would it be worth using these freguencies or are they liable to dissapear in the near future

Apart from the 7 day EPG there's no particular advantage since all the channels are freely available already.

Hi, i was wondering about using it in an application where a dvbs to dvbt converter would be used to convert the channels on this transponder, as a lot of the popular channels are available on that one transponder it offers great flexibility, it then allows these digital terrestrial channels to be combined with saorview off air channels and feed a large number of dvbt televisions along conventional coaxial cables,the snag could be if this transponder was made redundant in the near future the system would need to be reprogrammed. thanks

If you're thinking of investing time/money in something like this, you might also look at the Freeview back up transponder (11495, V) on 27.5w instead. It's been there for several years.
