If you’re having soup and bread, do you butter the bread?

I’m thinking about my lunch tomorrow, I’m making soup and pondering if I’ll butter my bread or not. I usually do, but sometimes I don’t. How about you, AH? Butter on the bread you dip in soup, or no?

    Yep. Butter is great.

No. Well, I don't'. I dip the bread in the soup. Put the butter in the soup.

But I'm funny that way. I never butter bread. I mostly use flatbreads or pita. Tear them and use to mop up juicy food/stews/soup.

Only a freak wouldn't butter their bread!

Heck, you could even consider a slip of butter into the soup too, to give it that delicious flavour.

Pagans , pour the soup into the butter tub.

    Bread is only an extra.
