VW passat B6 Hazards while jacking up?

    hi

    i was jacking the car up at the jack point on my VW Passat B6 2009 and i noticed the hazard light suddenly came on. i found it strange because im unaware of any Jack mode for this car of its age. google didn't give me much look either.

    can anyone be able to tell me if the car does have a jack mode or is it just a safety thing the hazards come on when wheel is lifted off the ground.

    Is there an after market alarm fitted? Perhaps that is triggering it.

    I had an Audi A4 of the same year and there were a couple of buttons on the drivers door sill, rang Audi dealer and asked and the Tech said its something got to do with a tilt sensor, if the car is lifted when it's locked, it will set off the alarm/hazards.

    Try checking for a button or two on the drivers door sill.

    B6 often has the same buttons as that.

    ya thanks i think i found it but it only has 1 button like the top botton in the image where the car is level but no button for when the car is at an angle maybe its merged into the same button. anyways i can probably just unlock the car if i need to jack it up.
