New Year's resolutions

Will you be making any for 2022?

Like many, I'll be rolling over the same few from last year - eat more, exercise less, and put on a few stone.

No.

I find them arbitrary most years and I honestly forgot about New Years, to me I don’t feel like we’re rolling into a new year, it honestly just feels like Friday again. The same Friday as last week and the one before that.

Personally I think going on a diet, joining a gym, starting directly after the most gluttons time of year in the middle of winter is not a good idea and is doomed to failure for most.

I started in late March '21 and now down to 32" waist since. So my resolution is just keep doing what i was doing. Which is eating less btw, and not trying to loss fat via exercise.

Feel like I'll be able to keep to a resolution for once. Mine is to do something every day that improves the person I am.

So it could be to go to the gym or it could be to just watch a Ted talk.. just has to be something and every day

To not think much about the past and not to worry about the future.

Resolutions rarely work - and this time of year is not an ideal time to make major changes to diet, exercise etc.

My own resolution is to not let the opinions of others bother me in any way...

...except here on Boards. 😉😜😜😜

2022 is going to be the year when I declutter my life. Starting with physical clutter, I have notes, manuals and books from when I was a student through numerous jobs and contracts. I also have material and tools from numerous DIY projects that I'll never use again.

I have to do a job on my bedroom…I’ve been talking about it for 3 years, but laziness, bad health, pandemic got in the way…I’ll need to…

buy a new bed and mattress..

Remove tv from top of bookcase….mount tv on the wall.. brackets still in my drawer.

Buy new nice shelving for sky box, PlayStation…

box up CDs and DVDs for storage..

buy a nice rug, a centrepiece..

install new remote control dimmer mood lights that i bought before Christmas that are still in the boxes…

get rid of my old bookcase that I’m really not fond of that my new tv rests on…firewood…only an ikea job… from 11 years ago.

basically an upgrade and de-clutter… but needed.
