Is a CAA PPL(H) beneficial if applying for a PPL in Ireland

In the UK, if you, say, hold a PPL, if you then go for a PPL(H), your min flight hours are reduced and you don't have to do all of the ground exams.

Is there any such benefit if you have a CAA PPL(H) and are applying for an IAA PPL?

do some digging on the IAA website and you will find out about equivalence of licenses. failing that, email them or call them.

I have both but it was a few years ago, I think and the memory is not 100% but you get something like a 20% 'discount' on the amount of hours required for PPL if you have the H or vice versa.
