Toy / Gadget Battery Compartment Lid Removal

Couldn't figure out correct forum to post this so hopefully this one is OK 😀

Has anybody here ever come across a battery compartment lid like this (see attachment) in a toy / gadget? As well as the screw there's a kinda spring-based release mechanism as you can see. The screw doesn't fully unscrew (at a certain stage, it just turns but doesn't loosen any further) so some wizardry required with d release mechanism and a flat headed screwdriver apparently but can't figure it out. Nothing online either. Strange one. The instruction video simply has about 2 seconds of somebody unscrewing with the Philips screwdriver then releasing the spring-based release mechanism with flathead but it ain't that easy for me. Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Make sure the screw is completely disengaged. Remove it with a pliers to be sure.

Small flat head screwdriver down the (left in pic) front of the spring clip should get it to pop open.

Looks like it is designed to hold the screw in place in the lid? (the left - right arrows). Some kind of bayonet connection maybe.

With the screw loose, does the lid give a bit?

Can you feel give when you activate the release catch?

If you do try to remove the screw, do so carefully anyway.

Place a Flat head screwdriver (where yellow mark)

move it in the direction of arrow

the compartment lid should pop up.
