Thank God for them. Get in before 8, locked door, camera's pointing out the front to check for over zealous Gardai. Fire lighting, spectacular pints for €4.30 a go, complimentary toasties, great atmosphere, sound staff. Be leaving a nice little tip for all their fantastic service for keeping myself and the family topped up with pints for the last two years (even when they should have been closed) They're the ones that deserve the applause.

And it used to be that you could pick your way home in the Mondeo after 5 or 6 pints unmolested. And you had the toasties and a few bags of crips to thank.

I think if an Irishman had an idea of heaven, it would be turf fire, stone floor, toastie, creamy pint and the pissings of rain on the window.

They're just cheese, onion and tomato but by god they go down well with a few pints. They must cost about 20c to make and all, it's just the icing on the cake imo.
