Could be atmospheric conditions bringing in interfering signals.

Same issue here from the Truskmore transmitter, which we noticed from around 8pm on Saturday.
When the Saorview cuts out showing 'No Signal', RTÉ Radio 1 on FM goes silent or crackly, then both return after 5 to 10 seconds. The interruptions are random, from 10+ minutes without interruption to several per minute.
