i have a set of those brackets. they are decent but i rather a proper roof ladder. the bolts for attaching them stick up and make a very uncomfortable seat to work off of. also they consentrate all the weight onto 2 small areas and you can break slates with them if your not carefull especially on old roofs. the proper roof ladders have timber across to spread the weight.

dont know anything bout the ladder. dont know if its a good idea to use it like that
