Virgin Installation

Read through some old threads but couldn't see much help..

Trying to get BB installed in an old house I've moved to (1960s house in Dublin suburb). SIRO/Sky have been nothing but diabolical - loads of different reasons they've refused to install (esb pole, access etc). So have moved on to Virgin; they assure me they'll install.

How do VM install? I have an old NTL box (TV/FM) exactly where I want the BB point; I can't seem to get any signal TV wise of these so not sure if they're working at all. Do VM just replace this point (and at a cost) or will they look to go into the house at another location?

Most likely they’ll replace the NTL wall plate with a new Virgin one and set it up there. The Dublin cable network was built with the taps underneath the roof in most cases, chances are that the cable is just unplugged at that end and they’ll reconnect it.
