Wtd: CdF / Steel gravel bike or frameset

Hi all,

I'm looking for a Genesis Croix de Fer bike or frameset or similar gravel steel bike / frameset.

Size medium to large. Hydraulic disc brakes, or priced reasonably where I could upgrade to hydraulic.

Brexit has messed things up for these sorts of bikes. Got the CdF 853 for 800 or so just before Christmas last year but they don't even ship outside UK anymore

My croix de fer (medium) is newly stripped. Seatpost is completely seized on it and has the look of a bike that's been out on everything on all terrain.

It's medium (seatpost was just about) spot on for me.

Bought a carbon fork for it too (from a triban bike) and have since left it as is

I'm 6 foot but always prefer a frame a bit smaller than I probably should be on. I rented a CdA in medium over the summer and it was fine for me. Large is probably what I should be on though...so either M or L....

Is the seatpost a cut out with hacksaw job? Also, what year is it is and is the BB and headset still on? Any pics?

Have a look at Swinnerton Cycles. They have a C de F in large but it’s a complete bike with Tiagra mechanical.

It's great but it is heavy, I'd do the carbon fork upgrade if you can
