Ottawa Marathon 2022/Warm weather marathons

    Has anyone ever run the Ottawa Marathon? Or would anyone care to share their experiences of running a marathon in weather above 20C?

    My old boss is running the Ottawa Marathon in May 2022 with his 19 year old son. They challenged me to run it with them. I wouldn't mind going out for a visit and running it but concerned the weather at the end of May in Ottawa could be anywhere from 15-28degrees celsius. I was also hoping to run DCM 2022 with my deferred 2020 entry if it finally goes ahead so I guess doing two marathon blocks close to back to back isn't ideal.

    Would love to know if people have done the Ottawa marathon and how they found the route. Presume it's relatively flat etc?

    Also if anyone trained for a marathon in Ireland and then went to a hotter climate to run one how did you find that? (I know it's not the most extreme temperature but to be honest this Summer in Ireland I found 4-6 slow miles tough going when we had the blast of 27-28degrees and humidity!
