I want Max to win and think he deserves it over the course of the season, but I think Hamilton will do it unfortunately.

Id like Max to win, purely because I think he has ultimately been the underdog all season, with a car not as strong as Merc. Not saying Hamilton is able to cruise to victory, but I certainly feel that Max has edged it this season.

Would really love to see Max win. It's mental to think they're level at this point considering Lewis got 45 points without reply from Max after Silverstone and Hungary.

But I think Lewis will do it. He's be driving superbly and the car is in a league of its own.

Unfortunately I have the horrible feeling that Lewis will win. He just seems to deliver at the right time. I don't think Max is the nicest guy in the world either but I think he does deserve to win after the fight he's taken to Lewis. I just fear he might do something stupid today...

I’d prefer Max to win as I think Mercedes need a break in their run and it’ll make next year more exciting. Not a fan of either but both have shown excellent driving skills this year. Lewis tends to perform well under pressure and has only improved as a driver in the second half of the season.

Lewis, lionised as "the best of British", but a legally non-resident tax exile.

Max with any luck. The sport needs a change of guard more than Max needs the win. It has become far too predictable and dare I say boring.

As for Lewis tax-exile in comment above, pretty much every driver is the exact same living in Monaco for tax purposes so I don’t think it’s a fair criticism.

I should have qualified what I said. This season is the first competitive season in a long, long time. But if he wins again then this season will just be the same as the rest. The expectation of dominance of Mercedes remains and it’s not good for the sport.

Can't watch today for other reasons, although I turned off last week due to being frustrated by the how the race was run. Really hoping for Max to do it. Not a fan of Max but F1 has not been fun after watching Hamilton just rack up a score this past decade. I would have expected him to quit Mercedes after the third or fourth title and try to win in a lower team, don't know what his motivation is. But he needs to be beaten on track, for the good of the sport.

I'm old, I just want to watch McLaren and Ferrari on top again like when I were a lad.
