I really like the look of this SMG, I don't know any video on YT of it beng practiced with. The Only conflicts it seemed to be used in was the Congo Crisis, Lebanon Civil War & the Provos had about three dozen of them,

Anybody here ever fire it? What was it like?

The Belgians used it through Africa, not just the Congo, up until the 90s. Pretty sure they’re still knocking about in Africa too.

The barrel has been put on upside down, the barrel is slotted into the receiver and then a sleeve screwed on to hold it in place,

That’s the “interesting” part of the design I referred to.

The barrel could be put on upside down. You’d expect people to notice but perhaps not the most experienced guys there.

True JP22, the fail safe on the Gustaf was the front sights on the barrel sleeve that could only be put on one way.

Takes me back to my 3 in a row Battalion Championship wins lol. The other guys used to wonder how I could fire single shots out of a fully auto firearm.😎

Singles from a Gustaf, easy peasy. With practice, easy to do singles from a Bren LMG also.

Easy to happen with in-experienced folk.

It differs from the Gustaf as it just has a collar to retain the barrel.

The Gustaf had a collar and a full length perforated sleeve. I know of one chap who went on duty with no barrel in his Gustaf, embarrassing to say the least……
