Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does the newish NDLS ad on radio not say that there are no forms to fill out and all you need is verified gov.ie account? Gov.ie accounts in recent years didn't need a Public Services Card and were verified without it, to the best of my knowledge. Now to renew licence, it says you need a PSCard to have a verified gov.ie account. Or am I missing the point completely?

To renew license online you need the PSC alright. If you don't have a PSC you need to make an appointment at an NDLS centre.

There is no form filling in either case

Thanks - the radio ad suggests you only need a verified Gov.ie account - not that you need one which is accompanied by a PSC card but .....I think I just heard on the news a few minutes ago that an alternative to the PSC must be accepted from now on.

Turns out my driving licence has just expired in the last few days (Even after the 10 month extension!!), and due to a change of address, not updated, so I did not receive the notice.

I cannot apply online (Today at least) as I do not have a PSC card, and I can either go to get a PSC card at a welfare centre, or go to and NDLS centre to renew, so the NDLS seems the easier option.

But with the news today, do the NDLS have to provide another method of verification for their online application?

Or do they just need to provide any other method to renew, as in, booking an appointment at one of their centres?

Do they still send notices? I thought that didn't happen any more? Mine is due for renewal soon (it was also extended), and I've changed address too.

Your PPS card? Or your Public Services Card? I would have thought the idea of doing it online is to ensure hundreds/thousands of people don't arrive at NDLS centres - hopefully they will quickly introduce a way of verifying (or re-verifying) the gov.ie account so that renewals can be done quickly online.
