Does the OP have any special informal privileges?

Can the OP pull any kind of rank on his or her own thread?

Obvious they are not mods but can they report those they feel are not posting in the right spirit with the expectation that their opinion will cary any more weight than any other poster?

I don't have any particular thread in mind but I have often wondered this.

Not inherently. But being the OP of a thread can mean they're often in a position that the topic of a thread they start is something sensitive or related to personal info of theirs, e.g. landlord issues, health issues etc. So while they may often be in a position to request a thread be closed/deleted as a result of that, they have no right to dictate the posters or nature of responses in a thread.
