Hi, there is a flight departing Dublin this morning with.a scheduled destination of “North Pole” - obviously there is no airport at the actual North Pole and I have checked the airports closest to the north pole and none have an arrival from Dublin. Is this a real flight, does it go anywhere or is it just an experience for kids?

Most likely going to Rovaniemi. Finland

Aer Lingus operates occasional flights at this time of the year to Rovaniemi with the flight number EI 1492. There's a return flight, EI 4973. TUI operates occasional flights from Dublin to Kitillä (also in northern Finland) and return with the numbers TOM 1396/1397. Presumably in both cases there's some class of Santa Experience for the kiddies laid on at the Finnish end of the trip.

Thanks, forgot about Rovaniemi. It’s usually marketed as Lapland - but I guess why not the North Pole :)
