Replacing a Triton T90si

Hi- we are doing up an ensuite bathroom. And would like to keep one electric shower in the house.

The current one (T90si) has been in service for 20(!) years- almost daily use. The only reason to replace is the noise.

I have no clue about electric showers and what connections they have going in where. Do all Triton showers have the connections at the same place so replacing will be a doodle if you stick to Triton?

Next question- any recommendation for a quieter one, ideally with a slightly higher pressure ?

    Thanks

There is now a T90 SR (Silent Running). There's a thread on it here somewhere.

I have always found the connections on Triton showers to be compatible with older generations, but check before you purchase.

It's a great time to replace the shower. Some people put the old one back & have to replace it within a year of two. Then they may have visible screw-holes left in the new tiles.

As above: Triton T90SR silent running shower is the best choice

If your current shower is installed for 20yrs then it’s unlikely to be rcd protected or have the right size cable for a t90sr. Only a rec is permitted to do electrical work in bathrooms so my advice is to get a reputable company to do the install. You won’t have to look too far to find one, send sleeper12 a pm.

I just checked and we actually do have a rcd switch, I am pleasantly surprised.

I will get the T90SR now B&Q have 10% off and will get my electrician to ensure cable etc will be done right.

    Thanks for the advice
