    Punchestown

    12.25 GEALACH ~ 20/1

Topweight, and was considered good enough to run in Boodles last year.. Been running mainly on good ground recently, and on a poor run of form to boot... Goes on soft tomorrow, and the angle is, I'm thinking ~ 2 1/2m on ground with some cut in it might get the 7lbs claiming apprentice Jennifer Torrens off the mark..

3.05 Will go with two here, who are previous course winners on soft ground, and likely big prices too.. early enough atm, and not many quoting yet, from what I can see, but odds look respectable enough.

    HOKE COLBURN ~ 14/1 , CLONGUILE WAY ~ 25/1

Some field in the John Durkan 2.00.. will be worth tuning in to watch that as well, bet or no... Plus, Ferny Hollow makes his chasing debut in the next @ 2.35, and is a hot favourite for that race.

Meanwhile, down in Cork, Notebook takes on Energumene plus 4 others in Hilly Way @ 2.20.. RTÉ 2 are briefly (nothing unusual there 😒) catering to racefans showing both Irish meets, with proceedings kicking off at 1.00pm, and finishing shortly after 3pm. Better than nothing 😎

    😊
