Flooring Issue

    Hi all

Hoping for some advice. We got a new laminate floor installed, the floor makes loud squeeking noises to the point it wakes the kids at night time, absolutely awful job.

We went back to the flooring company who sent out the manufacturer to investigate, both the flooring company and manufacturer have admitted the floor is faulty.

They are willing to replace the floor but not cover the costs of repainting areas and ensuring the areas around the floor will be as they found them. I find this infuriating given they made a serious mess of the installation in the first place, we hired a person to come in and fix the mess the left on skirting boards etc

    My questions are

    1. Do they have to cover the costs of any repainting, fixing skirting, radiator covers etc

    2. Are we entitled to a refund of both the cost of the floor and installation?

    Many thanks

    Paul
