Changing notes for coins?

    Hi all,

Is there an easy way to get coins in large(ish) quantities - e.g. to change a €100 note into 50 €2 coins for example? I assume banks do this for their customers, but my bank is "branchless" so they don't do that kind of thing.

Overseas I've seen special ATMs that will give coins in exchange for notes, but I haven't seen any here (I'm based in Dublin).

I have searched online but can't find anything - mostly it seems people are wanting to swap their old coins for notes, not the other way around!

    Thanks for your help.

Probably have to go the central bank the way the *****ty normal banks have gone.

or go to a shop they might do it for you.
