Hi everyone. I'm just posting here to make everyone aware that there are currently scam calls making the rounds, with the callers purporting to be from Revenue. There's an automated message to start off with, saying essentially that you have a tax liability and there's an arrest warrant out for you.
Since this time of year is just after the Income Tax Returns are made, it may make the call seem more genuine. If you have family, especially any elderly relations (or friends), please let them know to just ignore the automated message and hang up.
I did receive a call myself but they hung up before I could get any information out of them, so I'm not too sure of the procedure they use. I'm guessing that they likely will either demand payment in vouchers or cryptocurrency.
