Was anyone happening to look in the correct direction this evening? At about 515pm, looking south (happened to be outside looking at Venus, Saturn and Jupiter) and out of the corner of my eye, to the southwest and travelling from high up in the sky towards the ground for about a half a second, there was a very intense white dot. I saw it and my dad saw it. Very likely a small meteor I think. Not a plane and not a satellite or anything like that.

    Did anyone else spot it?

Yep, saw it out of the corner of my eye. Also in Cork.
