was hoping somebody could help me. My husband has inherited a house from his grandparents. The house is on the family farm and my husband works on it and has lived in the area all his life. The house is 120m2 house we are hoping to build an extension on the back to make it 180m2 in the limerick area. Anyone know will it be difficult to get planning. In 1969 his grandparents added on a room about 20m2 to the original house

You will need planning but as it's in a rural environment there really shouldn't be any great difficulty in getting same. If you are adding additional bedrooms then septic tank capacity and treatment of sewage will need to be addressed.
