I had booked a ticket from Cherbourg on the 12 December to Dublin. I changed that to the first of December to try get back before any new restrictions that might come in with the new variant. So spent all day packing. Checked my mail an hour ago and there was a mail from Irish Ferries at 3.05 pm saying the Yeats had been replaced by the Epsilon and theres no space on it ....

I checked my phone and there was a text which I had not heard. Needless to say the next few sailing are booked out.

    Im now going on Stena.

The WB has been out of service for over a week already. We were offered recliners for our Dublin to Cherbourg crossing last week. Not inclined to recline, we declined! Brittany Ferries from Rosslare was an ok substitute. Had also booked a return on the WB but as we were told that honouring that booking could not be guaranteed at that point, we rebooked with another provider.

I tried to book on Brittany ferries and could not get it to work. I was even considering Bilbao as its less of drive from where I am.

I have often travelled in the winter and theres not many tourists just truck drivers. Is this route under that much pressure since Brexit ?
