Dripping towel rail valve

    Folks,

after about 10 years my towel rail has sprung a slight leak. Its on the inlet side at the bottom - a right angled chromed connector with a screw on the bottom is dripping slowly through the screw itself.

My problem is that turning the screw does nothing. It just spins without tightening up. Of course it should allow water into the towel rail so should it be tight at all ? Any thought on how to fix it.? Don't want to get a plumber if I can avoid it or does it need a new connector ?
