WTD: scrapped Garmin Edge 520 plus (or motherbaoard)

After this morning's crappy ride I plugged the Garmin 520 plus in to charge. When it was finished I found the cable 'glued' to the port - some of the plastic had melted off the cable and flowed into the port (I know, I guess that shouldn't happen even though the port was probably wet, but the wiring in the house is very modern so no need for advise on that).

Anyway, 'long-story-short', the port is not working after the seperation procedure and clear out of the plastic gunk, so I want to try to replace it. I have the computer dismantled now but, even if you could get the right port, I think taking it off the motherboard and replacing it would be beyond me. So, if anyone has a scrapped one ... I have a good battery and screen which are the most vulnerable parts, so I might get lucky (I guess it would be a good time to upgrade the battery as well!).
