Can a Fireplace Insert be installed if a back boiler is in place

We are considering getting a Fireplace Insert or False Log Fire to take the bare look off of our unused fireplace.

There is a back boiler installed but we no longer use it because we now use a GAS boiler.

Does anyone know if we would need to take out the back boiler in order to install a fireplace insert.

Could you also recommend some models and places to buy from.

    Thank you
