PVC Boards for Gates

    Hi All,

We are looking for your help please.

A family friend is making frames for a set of gates for our driveway and our intention is to have anthracite grey PVC gates. All we have been able to source so far are decking boards (which seem to be a bit on the heavier side considering the overall weight that the gates will be).

Can anyone recommend a supplier please of PVC boards which may be specific to gates? I'm finding it hard to find this information online.

    Thanks very much.

My side gates are exactly as you describe. Guy who installed them supplied them but as far as I recall they came from here:

    https://www.talitech.com/product-category/re-cycled-plastic-boards/

I think it's mostly a composite that is used for gates.

If you are really struggling ring a local guy who makes gates or even a landscaper would know suppliers as they do fencing etc.

    I've used this company previously,

    https://www.ardtech.ie/pvc-gates--railings

I put in stainless steel box sections on top of a wall and bolted the 120mm X 28mm PVC boards to them, they're coated with a film the same as uPVC windows so they don't fade in the sun, roughly €10/metre so not cheap but as maintenance free as you can get I think.
