IKEA bed question

Hello

Just put together an ikea bed.

Should the wood slats be lower to accommodate the mattress?

It's at the highest position in the pictures with an option to go lower.

There will be a thin enough foam mattress on top.

I'm thinking they should be lower so that the mattress fits snugly and so won't move.

I don't know but I would suggest you take a look at the pic of the frame on the IKEA website. That should show if the mattress sits on top or sunken into the frame

Looks correct to me. However these are designed to accommodate the big thick Ikea mattresses which have a rougher underside so you might face some issues if you're sleeping on a thin mattress, although I doubt it. I slept on pretty much this exact bed with an Ikea mattress for over a year and never had any issues.

Ok. Thanks for the feedback. I did it for a friend. Yet to put the mattress on. Will wait and see how the fit is. Thanks again...
