Hot water Cylinder -- not heating water

    Issue: Hot water Cylinder -- not heating water

    Equipment

    Bosch Logano G215-4 Cast Iron Oil Boiler w/ Burner

    Bosch Hot water Cylinder


    Switch Settings

    1) Hot water & Heating

    2) Hot water only


    Observations

    Hot water Element is not wired up (I presume is not an issue if the oil boiler is heating the water)

    Regardless of the Switch setting , no hot water

    Heating system (rads) all work fine , Regardless of the Switch setting (I am leaning towards the switch is not wired correctly)

    Assumptions

    Switch setting is either controlling a solenoid to allow the oil boiler heat the water or is there to toggle the heater element in the hot water cylinder

    I do not fully comprehend how it works , presume rads are a closed system separate to the hot water (open system, water is consumed)

    Advice

    Anything else I should check? or one for the plumber
