Non-salt Limescale Preventer or Removal Systems for the Home

    Does anyone have advice or experience of non-salt limescale systems? I'm not keen on salt 'cos I don't like the idea of using up all that salt (eco); in a previous house, I found it cumbersome; and I don't know if it affects the water for drinking purposes - we had a special little tap on the sink in that previous house for drinking water.

    Sometimes one hears of non-salt systems such as magnetic removal - I like the idea of non-salt. What I want is to reduce or stop limescale furring in the pipes etc, and to still have good water to drink from the tap.
