Stanley Aisling Stove

How many pipes should come out of a Stanley Aisling Stove with a back boiler, it is a dual system with oil. There are 2 pipes on the one I have installed, but someone mentioned to me recently there should be 4 pipes installed and the stove would be more efficient if there were 4 pipes
